WITI issues #CEOchallenge
Pay Women - Dollar for Dollar

Los Angeles, CA, October 13, 2014 - WITI (Women in Technology International), the leading global organization for tech savvy women, issues a CEO Challenge - Pay Women in your company dollar for dollar - the same compensation being paid men in the same positions.

Founder and CEO, Carolyn Leighton, named "one of the most influential women in technology" by Fast Company, says:

We are grateful that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's comments have stimulated a much bigger discussion about serious outdated thinking and practices that are the norm in too many corporate environments.

Beyond all the obvious reasons to change the compensation game, said Leighton, being a corporate leader that demonstrates its commitment to women is just smart business.

The WITI CEO challenge is asking each CEO to make a pledge to scrutinize company wide compensation to ensure that each employee is being compensated based on their work, not gender. Whether you're the CEO of a small business or a Fortune 500 company, we are asking you to join us by taking the pledge at

WITI will be recognizing each company making this commitment on its web site and at its 20th Women in Technology Hall of Fame June 1st, 2015 at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, California. Information about the summit can be found at
