of California named Melodie Mayberry-Stewart to
the post of senior vice president and chief information officer.
Previously a general manager and vice president of information
technology at BP/Amoco Oil, in Chicago, she will now oversee all
aspects of Blue Shield's information systems.
Customer assistance software company Brightware announced the
appointment of Beverly Ulbrich to senior vice president of marketing.
Ulbrich has more than 15 years of Internet, software, and technology
marketing experience.
As
part of its 15th annual Tribute to Women and Industry Awards
Program, the YWCA recognized several technology industry women
executives this year. Among them were Eva Chen, Trend Micro's chief
financial officer; Judy Estrin, Cisco's chief technology officer; and
executives from IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Lucent, Sun Microsystems, BEA
Systems, Adaptec, and more.
Lake Forest, Calif.-based iBASEt named Cathy Taylor as director of
marketing for its manufacturing industry software.
