Cheemin Bo-Linn, director of worldwide strategy, has been named to the American
Electronics Association (AEA) Bay Area Executive Board. Bo-Linn is the first non-CEO
to serve on the AEA Executive Board.
Texas Instruments appointed Ruth J. Simmons, president of Smith College, in
Northampton, Mass., to its board of directors. Simmons was most recently involved
in Smith College's establishment of the first engineering program at a women's college
in the United States.
Enterprise
application integration vendor Software Technologies appointed Kathleen M. Mitchell
to the post of senior vice president of marketing and business development. Mitchell
was previously president and CEO of Live Picture Corp.
Texas Instruments' Diana Johnson Hightower, sourcing and selection manager
at Application Specific Products, was named one of the "Top 20 Houston Women
in Technology" by the Association for Women in Computing. Hightower was recognized
for her successful career in technology and the positive role model she represents
for women.
